Saute Cabbage In Red Wine

Ingredients
5 cups fresh cabbage shredded
3 large carrots peeled and shredded
1 large sweet onion sliced
1 cup water
28 OZ whole peeled tomatoes (Red Gold recommended) sliced
1 cup red wine
3 whole bay leaves
4-8 whole Allspice
6-8 whole black pepper
2 table spoons fresh parsley chopped
Salt, sugar and ground black pepper to taste
Olive Oil
50 grams sweet butter

OPTIONAL:
1 pound cooked veal sausages or Winners sliced

Timing
Preparation time: 15 min
Cooking time: 60 min

Directions
Place shredded cabbage into large deep oiled pan. Add water, bring to boil and simmer 20 min. Add spices, salt, wine and the rest of ingredients and simmer 25-30 min on small heat. Add sausages and simmer another 10 min. Serve hot or cold.
