1/2 package frozen puff dough
6 oz caramel jar
6 oz butterscotch caramel jar (Smucker’s recommended)
1 cup walnuts chopped
3 large Granny Smith apples peeled and chopped
Juice of 1/2 large fresh lemons
1/2 tea spoon cinnamon
1/3 tea spoon nutmeg
1/3 tea spoon cloves
1/2 cup sugar
Preparation time: 10 min
Baking time: 45 min at 350°F
Sprinkle flour on the working surface and rollout 2/3 of unfrozen dough in diameter 12.5 inches to fit 10 inch round baking form.
Mix well all ingredients for filling and spread filling evenly. Make strips out of the rest 1/3 dough 2x10 inch and place them on top. Bake pie in the preheated oven for 25 min. Remove from the oven and spread mixture of nuts and caramels on top. Place pie back to the oven and bake for another 20 min.
