Chicken In Blackcurrant Casis

2 pounds chicken wings
1 large onion sliced
6-8 cloves fresh garlic chopped
2 medium size carrots peeled and chopped
1/2 table spoon salt
3 bay leaves
4-5 whole Allspice
5-5 whole black pepper
1/3 cup blackcurrant cassis (Lejay-cassis/Crème deCassis de Dijon liqueur recommended- Product of France)
2 table spoon parsley
1 table spoon dill
4 dry prunes
4 cups water


2/3 Jar Tomato sauce (mushroom & ripe olives by Classico recommended)
1/3 Jar Honey barbecue sauce (Sweet baby Ray’s recommended)
3 tea spoon sugar

Preparation time: 20min
Cooking time: 65 min

Wash chicken wings. Place onions rings on the bottom of large pot and place wings on top and filled with water. Add carrots and bring to the boiling point. Simmer on medium heat for 25 min. Add salt, spices, cassis, prunes, parsley, dill and garlic. Continue to cook for another 35-40 min
Serve with mash potato or rice.
